Discovering His Plan for Your Life
At LCNE we come along side of you by giving you the love, direction, support and care you need to help you embrace each step in His divine plan for your life. This plan begins with developing the six key building blocks of your foundation in Christ and a deep relationship with the Holy Spirit.
1. WORSHIP
The inner essence of worship is to know God truly and then respond from the heart to that knowledge by valuing God, treasuring God, prizing God, enjoying God, being satisfied with God above all earthly things. And then that deep, restful, joyful satisfaction in God overflows in demonstrable acts of praise from the lips and demonstrable acts of love in serving others for the sake of Christ as led by the Holy Spirit.
3. WORD
The Bible, the Word of God, is by far the number way that God speaks to us. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truths that are found in the Bible. It is impossible to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ without knowledge and daily application of His Word in our lives.
5. FELLOWSHIP
The Greek words translated “fellowship” in the New Testament mean essentially a partnership to the mutual benefit of those involved. The privilege of Christian fellowship is that it exists because God has enabled it by His grace. Those who believe the gospel are united in the Spirit through Christ to the Father, and that unity is the basis of fellowship.
2. PRAYER
Prayer is the single , most important, part of our relationship with God and the Holy Spirit. The purpose of prayer is to reveal the presence of God, equally present at all times and in every condition. It’s not so true that “prayer changes things” as it is that “prayer changes us.”
4. SERVING
As we allow the Holy Spirit to change our hearts, we will develop a deep care for other people. Our attention will begin to turn away from ourselves and to the needs of others (Galatians 5:13). A good measure of our spiritual health is our depth of concern for other people. Eventually, our hearts are so in tune with what Jesus is doing around us, He begins to use us to meet the needs of others.
6. GIVING
We honor God in our worship to Him by giving our first and our best through our tithes and offerings. We give freely and joyfully not out of guilt or manipulation. When we honor God with our finances, we partner with the Holy Spirit in helping others to discover and fulfil their purpose in Christ.
